February 2012
360 has partnered with Animalive at The Event Production Show 2012, which was held at Olympia between 1 – 2 February 2012, to demonstrate how technology can be used in the exhibition industry in a quirky and innovative way.
360 has extensive experience in creating and delivering themed environments for live events, exhibitions and themed attractions, and so combining our expertise with Animalive, award winning developers of interactive technology, the theme of the event can be brought alive and visitors can have a truly interactive experience.
An example of this is the project we designed and delivered for Merlin Entertainments for The Dragon’s Tower at Warwick Castle. Animalive worked with us to help bring the Dragon alive, which was shown on a large screen, to interact with the visitor. This is achieved by an operator watching the visitor from a small camera over the screen and working from a hidden booth. The operator wears a specialist suit, which detects their movement and which is then translated to the image on the screen, so the image mirrors the moves of the operator. Sound technology is also used, so as well as the image being able to see what the audience look like and what they are doing, the image on the screen can also talk to the audience. Other effects can be used to enhance the themed environment making the opportunities endless for this type of interactive experience for all type of events!
